2020

NASCAR DRIVERS

hey gang,

This page represents the last of the 2020 NGFSTATistics I know, after all these pages you think I am long winded.   :)

Since moving here to Maryland, leaving all I knew behind after 25 years living in Florida, I have come to the conclusion you guys are the only ones I have been associating with all year!!  Moved here, and not long after the virus hit and that was that for meeting new people.

I guess we all can say at the very least, this season was unusual.  Who knew when we started in February, that after race 4, all racing would come to a stop.  Actually all "everything" came to a stop.  The year of the Pandemic.  Covid 19.  A nightmare that continues.

But I do have to say that I am stunned that NASCAR got all 36 races in.  They may not have been to scheduled length but they were completed.  And besides that, we received the added entertainment of the IRACES to fill the void while there were no racecars on the tracks anywhere.  I say that is above and beyond and I thank the powers that be for doing that for us race fans.

I hope that I did a good job keeping up with NASCAR and have made the year interesting despite the stoppage for the virus.  I thought for awhile, that I would in no way be able to keep up!!     (And I thought the double bubble weekend at Pocono was going to be tough!)  Then throw in the IRACES!!  I even took the time to rhyme!  (still doing it apparently...lol)  It was something different and helped pass the time.  I am sure we will always remember this year.   Definitely the year that shook up the world!

So with all the notes that I kept, did you feel like an "official" racer?  Did you look for you name in the stats?  I am hoping everyone was covered somewhere.  If it was stat material, I kept it to share with you all now.

I do want to thank everyone for all the kind words through out the season.  Hopefully I will see you all in the lineup next season.
