2025

The DRIVERS...

...THAT MAKE or "BREAK" our TEAM!
hey gang, This page represents the last of the 2025 NGFL STATistics. We had 31 full time players this season. We had 7 rookies running and they came in and taught us veterans that they are only interested in running at the front! Up your game NGFLer's.! Now that we are down to the last page of the 2025 season, how was yours? Good, bad? Was it easier or harder than you expected? Did you improve over the season? Was it better or worse than you expected? If nothing else, hopefully it was FUN!

We had a lot of records for the stat books this season!! We had a successful race defense. One player won 2 races at one track consecutively. We had a RECORD 4 players win races consecutively throughout the season! Holy cow batman!

We hit several high marks in the NGFL in 2025 too. Over 1,000 Wins, 5,000 Top 5s and 10,000 Top 10s. WOW!

I would have never guessed back in 1997 that this league would still be going. I thank you all for that!! Without your love for the sport, we wouldn't be here. I hope I am making it interesting enough for everyone who is a NASCAR fan to find it even more fun to be a NASCAR fan. We all have our favorite drivers but now it comes to rooting for 7 drivers each week, and different ones taboot.

I love reading the victory speeches. Most of you thank your team of drivers, not just one. All the drivers, whether they run in the front or the back, get tv coverage or not, get mentioned during the race or not, deserve to get more fans even if they aren't the favorite. The moment the racecar starts at the green flag, they are risking their lives to entertain us. Thank you.
This year. Mexico City was the new track for the 2025 season. Oddly, after all the hype, one and done. We did also lose Dover1, Richmond1, Loudon1 and Michigan2. Dover1 was replaced with Dover2, Loudon1 was replaced with Loudon2 and Michigan2 was replaced with Michigan1. Those were our Nostalgic races. So entirely with no "same track replacement", we lost Richmond1 outright.

We had 6 road races, 4 more from our Sonoma and Watkins Glen days. San Diego will be another one for 2026. Personally, I always said that if our guys can't race right as well as left, we can't bill ourselves as the "best". That's proven by SVG's dominance this season. We just have to get to SVG standard for sure!! LOL
I think the racing has gotten so much better! Side by side racing. Some races were 3 or 4 and sometimes 5 wide. Things got a little crazy with the penalties, as it does always with penalties. I hate penalties!! And that started right from the Daytona 500! Who received a penalty, appealed, got it all back or some of it back, was a nightmare for me!! Take points away, put points back races later. Chase Briscoe's 100-point penalty that was rescinded helped a bunch of folks out. 100 points was heavy! And even Chris Buescher got hit with a 60-point penalty and got half back. That was a lot of fun. Austin Cindric with 50 points, no appeal. Sadly, thank you...lol

All in all, 9 drivers received penalties, but not all were for points outright. Some lost positions, which really screwed the results up. Drivers moving down caused others to move up, one position at a time. Ugh.

So, what did you think of our new sports commentator, Leigh Diffey? I liked Rick Allen, but I have been getting used to things changing. Because that network lost Indy Series, they sacrificed Allen, who was not replaced for poor job performance. And then there were the practices and races on Prime, what did you think of that?
I did take a lot of notes throughout the year and can only hope I remembered to update them all. I am hoping that everyone found their name somewhere other than just on the lists. I hope you found the notes interesting. Sometimes I think I go a bit crazy, but I share most of it anyway. This was our season, reduced to a few notes. Every season, a lot of you send wonderful messages to me in your team emails and I even got honorable mentions in victory speeches, like I was Bill France or your team owner. lol. I do appreciate all the kind words for sure. I can always use an uplifting comment. You keep me going which means you keep the NGFL going.

I love NASCAR and NASCAR fans. NASCAR fans are the best! But at the top, is my NGFplayers. We are all competitors, but it didn't stop so many people from making me feel welcomed in my championship last season and how many were rooting for me to defend it this season. Thank you. Sorry I came up short, believe me.

I hope that I will see you all in the lineup next season. And if you know someone who might be interested, please have them email me. After the huge rookie crop this season, looking for new contenders. I am in the setup mode for 2026 :) I can still handle a few more players for sure. Fresh competition. New players, and retired veterans (mostly) are welcomed.

Last but not least, this season, Gin4AustinD (my mom) passed away. She took my focus.
She was always looking for wins and good scores and quite disappointed when it didn't happen. To those of you who sent your condolences and heart felt words, it was so appreciated. Even had phone calls from leaguers I know and have met, thank you. It was a tough season for me. I miss my mom, and she was definitely a huge void for me this season. Thank you for bearing with me during my grief. I feel like sometimes, I wasn't at the top of my game.

17.  There were 3 races that were Nostalgic races.  (Not run in that part of the season since...)
Michigan1 last run 2020.      Dover2 last run in 2020.       Loudon2 last run in 2017.

I hope you enjoyed the stats for 2025.  Was it too much?

Everyone, take care over the winter and see you in February.
Hope to see you next season for the 2026 NGFL season.
Good bye Mom.   :(
